Love In Lingerie by Alessandra Torre

This was a smokin' hot book by Alessandra Torre.
It's a office romance where the main character's are Trey, the CEO of a lingerie company and Kate who begins working for his company. There is instant attraction, but neither allow themselves to act on it.
Trey is without a doubt a kinky, arrogant, gorgeous man, and of course, Kate is stunning. Trey can't help himself when he throws the sexual innuendos around right and left.the banter between the two of them is adorable.
There was a slight part in the middle that I felt was slow, but not enough to make me want to stop reading.
I am a sucker for a fantastic epilogue, and this one delivered!! I was head over heels in love with the way this ended.
I loved the writing, humor, and hot scenes in this book.
If this book were lingerie...it'd be a cozy pair of flannel pajamas...making me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! 😊
It's a HEA, standalone. It also includes some deleted scenes Ms. Torre decided to leave out. In the ebook version, you can simply click on a link to her webpage to read it. I personally didn't want the book to end, so I was eager to read ANY extras available!
I was lucky enough to have a friend loan me this book! It is available as an ebook on Amazon for $4.99 and is available in other formats here
I give this book a 4 out of 5 cupcake rating.

The Room Mate by Kendall Ryan

I love Kendall Ryan. When I saw that she was coming out with a new book I was all in!
The sexy book cover didn't hurt either!
After reading this Contemporary Romance, I read so many negative reviews on Amazon. I don't really take other people's opinions to heart ( kind of like I don't listen to movie reviews...I like to form my OWN opinions!) I wondered if I read the same book everyone else was reading! Yes, I've read this very same plot before, but when you read as many books as I do, the plots are going to be somewhat repetitive.
This story is about Cannon and Paige. Paige is the best friend Cannon's older sister. They were all friends when they were younger. Paige thought Cannon was a geek with braces, and Cannon thought Paige was beautiful even as a kid. Now they are all grown up and both sexy as hell! Cannon needs a place to live for a couple of months after a bad breakup. Paige knows this spells trouble, but she's doing her BFF a BIG favor.
I felt this book was sweet, romantic, and not too much drama. It was a light read with lots of heat. I am a sucker for a good epilogue, but  this book didn't have an epilogue at all.
It's a HEA, Standalone.
I recommend The Room Mate to anyone who wants a HEA, romantic, Contemporary Romance.
It is available on Amazon.com for $3.99 for the Ebook, and is available in other formats here
I was lucky enough to have a friend loan it to me.
This book gets a 4 out of 5 cupcake rating.

Delivery Girl by Lily Kate

This is a sweet, romantic book by Lily Kate.
The main characters in this book are Andi and Ryan. Andi works with her dad who owns a pizza shop. She bakes and delivers pizzas.
Andi delivers a pizza to Ryan who is a professional ice hockey player. Ryan is staying with his brother and his fiancé. When Andi brings the pizza to Ryan, he answers the door in nothing but a towel. They are immediately attracted to each other and poor Andi has one mishap after another. She's clumsy and adorable and Ryan notices how special she is from the start.
Andi is about to graduate college and she also is trying to launch a career as a standup comic.
Ryan is trying to decide if he wants to go back home to Minnesota or play in LA where Andi lives. There is a plot line where Ryan is trying to decide if he is signing on with a new agent who is known as the Ice Queen. ( sorry, no spoilers here!)
I have read my fair share of sports romances, and went into this one a little skeptical. I was pleasantly surprised! It has a great epilogue too!
It's a cute, sweet, light read. I am looking forward to reading future books by Lily Kate.
This book is available for free on Kindle Unlimited or for $2.99 on Kindle It is also available in other formats here
I gave this book a 5 out of 5 cupcake rating.

Mack Daddy by Penelope Ward

This was a sweet friends to lovers romance.
Mack and Frankie were roommates in the beginning, and there was instant attraction.
Seriously, when Penelope Ward devoted time to Frankie trying not to make noise in the bathroom in the middle of the night, I had to LOL!
***When trying not to wake anyone up while peeing, you have to push out at just the right speed so that it doesn’t tinkle loudly when it hits the water. I discovered that if I pushed extra hard, the stream of urine would hit the water more quietly as opposed to a loud but slower tinkle. The only problem with this method was always the risk of flatulence.***
Both had other relationships in their lives during there time away, but true love brought them back together.
Their relationships and family caused some chaos, but it's love that wins. Read this sweet romance ( but with some hot romantic times included!).
I loved the epilogue too!
This ebook is available for $3.99 on Amazon.com here
I gave this book a 4 out of 5 cupcake rating.

Everything For Her by Alexa Riley

This is a story about Oz and Mallory.
Oz sees Mallory at when she is only 17, and knows he can't approach her because she's too young. He bides his time for 5 years. He is obsessed with her during this time, paying for her education and always watching her to make sure she is protected.
I personally found this extremely stalkery, and obsessive. To the point of creepy!
The day he finally approaches her in a bar, he comes on SO strong, and while Mallory is guarded, she still falls for his charms.
Oz arranges for Mallory to have an internship at HIS business, even though there have never been internships at this business before. Seriously? Mallory is supposed to be a smart girl, but she never considers Oz's behavior strange or obsessive?
I'm sorry, I must be missing something here. I see all the 5 star ratings, but I'm just not understanding it! The obsessive behavior Oz has, the terms of endearment he immediately starts using ( baby, MY Mallory) I just think are so unrealistic, not to mention seriously cheesy.
The good parts about this book? It's very well written, Oz COULD be sweet, and the sexy parts were VERY hot. Mallory just seemed like a weak, dumb bunny to me. The way Oz tried to win her back after a breakup was kind of sweet. The texts were kind of cute. He sent her a ton of flowers and she texts him a thank you.
***Me: Thank you. For all of them. They were overwhelmingly beautiful.
His response is instant. Like he’s been waiting all day, and maybe he has.
Oz: You deserve a thousand more.
Me: I wouldn’t know where to put them.
Oz: I would build you a castle, if only you would ask.
 Me: Maybe one day.***
I guess I just like a stronger, smarter woman. I don't think I'll be reading the 2nd book in this series.
If you want to read it, it's on Amazon for $4.99 as an ebook and available in other formats here
I gave this book a 2 out of 5 cupcake rating.

Wild: A Blue Falls Novella by Stella James

I loved this Novella!
I won this book on a giveaway, and jumped right into it. It was a quick read. Perfect for a Saturday afternoon.
It's full of hotness, humor, and the epilogue was amazing!
Since the book was short, I don't want to say to much because I don't want to spoil it for anyone. The authors description says it all! I was amazed that this novella could cover so much in such a short book, but I never felt like it was rushed and it didn't leave me wanting more.
It had me laughing from the first page and the hotness level was off the charts! I highly recommend it if you are looking for something fun.
It's a HEA, and can be read as a standalone.
It's available on Amazon in Kindle format, for $.99. You can find it here
I give this quick read a 5 out of 5 cupcake rating.

SKIN by BB Easton

   Oh, where do I begin?
I fell in love with BB after reading 44 Chapters About 4 Men. She is one of the most talented writers I've come across in a long while.
After reading 44 Chapters, I was checking daily to see when Skin was going to be released! I couldn't wait to read the story of Knight. I wasn't supposed to love this!
I'm a mom of 3 adult children. This story is about angsty teens in high school. Their lives filled with sex, drugs and punk rock! I never lived this in my younger years, heck, I never even knew or hung out with anyone like this. How can an almost 60 yr old woman relate to this story? I dug in and couldn't believe how BB took me through this wild ride!
There were some LOL moments, and there were moments I wanted to take the damaged Knight and just be a surrogate mom to him and hug, hold and love him.
BB took me through the crazy, scary world of teens. Honestly, BB...I wanted to reach through my iPad and smack you silly for the things you did and tried! (Sorry...it's the mom in me coming through!)
I'm a person who likes my HEA smut books, but somehow, after a friend said I MUST read this, I fell into this teen world.
Even if you think you are too old for this book, teen angst and scary Skinheads aren't your thing, READ IT ANYWAY!
There are surprises and deep feels all throughout this book, and it is a page turner!
If I thought I had a book hangover after reading 44 Chapters, Skin will keep me from reading ANYTHING for the next few days. I need to recover!!!
I am SO looking forward to reading about BB's other 3 men. Hope I don't have to wait too long!
Skin is available on Amazon for $2.99 or FREE with Kindle Unlimited and is available in other formats here I'll be honest with you. I had read this on KU, but then went BACK and purchased this just so I could keep it in my Kindle! This is the kind of book(s) I will read more than ONCE!
Needless to say, I give this book a 5 out of 5 cupcake rating. ( If I could, it would have a whole cake, some muffins, and dozens of cookies too. Yeah, it was THAT good!)

Bet Me by Lila Monroe

This is my first book by Lila Monroe. The summary of this book called out to me, and it was true to the summary. The book was well written, and cute, and a totally different story line than I have read before!
Lizzie is a curator of a museum and her love is everything from Classic Hollywood movies. Let's say Lizzie has had some bad luck finding the perfect man. She attempts to video phone her best friend and winds up leaving it all on a message...which accidentally goes out to the public. The whole scenario is hysterical.   Lizzie meets Jake who is also in the same field as she is and while you know they will wind up together, there back and forth is cute.
There were a couple of times I felt the story was a little long and could have been shortened, but all in all, a well written, sweet book! I recommend it, especially if you have a love of old Hollywood classic films.
This book is free on Kindle Unlimited and is available in other formats here
I give this book a 5 out of 5 cupcake rating for the authors writing, and because it was a different plot than the usual Contemporary romance books I've read!
