Beautiful Crazy by Kasey Lane

I immediately fell in love with KEVAN ( can I tell you how much I love this for a girl's name??!)  She is a pinup styled curvaceous girl, who has NO problem speaking her mind. She has a shy side to her as well, because she has terrible insecurities.
She has a new business and money is low...a brother who is an addict and its up to her to pay for his rehab. Poor Kevan is doing all she can to make things right. She is trying to get into the Rock and roll scene and become a promoter. She is smart and funny.
One night at the club while listening to a band she wants to sign on, she sees the most gorgeous man she'd ever seen...all 6'6" of him!
Mason Dillon is polite, cocky, and I swear, every time he called Kevan " Darlin'" I was truly done for!
The band can't decide if they should go for a more experienced firm ( Mason's) or the new smaller firm that Kevan owns.
I absolutely loved the banter that went back and forth between these two. I couldn't wait to get right back to my book every time I had to put it down! It's a sweet HEA, with some hot sexy scenes, and NO cliffhanger! I highly recommend this book! Can't wait to read the 2nd book by Kacey Lane in this series!

Hard To Hold by Katie Rose

This is a story about a professional soccer player named Logan. Of course he's gorgeous, cocky and wealthy.
He's out with one of his teammates one night when one of his past one night flings comes up to him and deposits a 3 month old baby girl and claims its its his...and doesn't want to take care of her anymore. She leaves a few supplies and the baby in her car seat and walks out. Being the guy he is, he has no idea how to take care of this baby. Thank goodness he has the financial means to call a nanny agency to get a full time nanny.
Enter Isabella, who of course is beautiful and very experienced in infant care. Isabella makes Logan feel inferior, but she is determined to teach him how to be a parent, not just use his money to have a nanny raise this baby.
While it was a sweet story, I felt the book was repetitive and predictable.
It's a HEA,standalone love story.

Max by Sawyer Bennett

This is my first book from the Cold Fury series. I loved Max and Jules immediately. From the way they met, to the sensitive way Max treats Jules. The fact that Jules came along with 3 young children that she had guardianship of, just makes Max all the more attractive!
Jules is a struggling single "mom" to these precious ( though, a little unbelievable in their behavior after having lost their mother due to illness, and a douche bag of a father) she takes on a great role model to these kids. She's hard working, sacrifices everything for these little kids. This is why Max falls for her instead of the usual puck bunnies that throw themselves at him constantly.
*** I smile at him, lean in and give him a light kiss. “You are a saint, Max. You’re an absolute saint. But right now…I’m completely fine with you sinning.” Max takes just a millisecond to digest my words, then his lips peel apart in a bright grin. “So you want to sin with me, huh?”***
I love the way Sawyer Bennett writes. I've read her Sugar series, one of my favorite series of books. This one is different to me, but still equally as sweet. If you are looking for a light, romantic book, Max is it.
***“Max?” she murmurs. “You okay?”I nod at her with a smile, let my eyes roam her face for a moment before coming back to lock with hers. “I love you, Jules.”***
It's a sweet, HEA love story that can be read as a standalone. It makes me want to go back and read this series from the beginning.

Naughty Boss by Whitney G.

The following is on Amazon.com as a sample of the book. I normally wouldn't write this much on my review, but hey...if the author puts it out there on Amazon, I'm going to include it because it's SO hysterical!!

***He definitely wasn’t supposed to get that email…
Subject: My Boss.

Have I already told you that I hate my boss today?

Sexy as hell or not, this pompous, arrogant, ASSHOLE asked me to pick up his dry cleaning the second I walked through the door. Then he told me that I needed to take his Jaguar to a car wash that was ten miles outside of the city, but only after I needed to stand in a never-ending line to buy some type of limited, hundred-dollar watch.

I honestly can’t wait to see the look on his face two months from now when I tell him that I’m quitting his company and that he can kiss my ass. KISS. MY. ASS.

All those former fantasies about him kissing me with his “mouth of perfection” or bending me over my desk and filling me with his c*ck are long over. OVER.

Your bestie,
Mya

PS--Please tell me your day is going better than mine…

Subject: Re: My Boss.

No, you haven't  already told me that you hate your boss today, but seeing as though you’ve sent me this email directly, I know now…
Yes, I did ask you to pick up my dry cleaning the second you arrived to work to day. (Where is it?) And I did tell you to take my Jaguar to the car wash and pick up my thousand-dollar watch. (Thank you for taking five hours to do something that could be accomplished in two.)
You don't have to wait two months from now to see the look on my face when you tell me you’re quitting. I’m standing outside your office at this very moment. ( Open the door. )

No comments on your “fantasies,” although I highly doubt they’re “long over.”
Your boss,
Michael

PS—Yes. My day is definitely going far better than yours.***

OMG!!! This is the FUNNIEST book with the most hilarious banter between CEO Michael Creighton and his new executive assistant Mya London.
Michael can't seem to hold onto an assistant because of his arrogant, prickish behavior.
It's a HEA, standalone book. VERY short, but well worth reading if you want a light, happy book to read in one sitting!
I've never read this author before, but will DEFINITELY be reading more! Love the sense of humor in this book and I imagine there will be more of the same in others!
You can purchase this book on Amazon.com here
Wish it was a little longer, but I give it a 5 out of 5 cupcake rating!

Hunter's Risk by Michelle Raven

I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This is a suspense romance book featuring Karen Lombard is a weapons expert for the Pentagon in Washington, D. C. Her husband was an accountant and always felt inferior to her. Clint is a Navy SEALs hostage specialist. He was called upon while on vacation in Colorado when Karen was kidnapped from her home.
The story starts out to be very interesting, but loses steam for me.
I feel like this was dragged out and could have been put into two different books instead of following the lives of Clint's sister Shannon and his SEAL's buddy Matt.
While I was reading, I started to skip pages and I hate doing that! I tried to finish this book...really I did! I just got so bored at one point and looked at my progress and found I was only 39% through the book! I just had to quit and say, sorry. I know this is hard work for the author, and I'm not trying to be disrespectful, but I just couldn't finish ,it. Lots of suspense and drama.
This book is available on Amazon.com here
I give this book a 2 out of 5 cupcakes.

The Pawn by Skye Warren

I'm not usually a fan of the darker romance books. I'm a HEA, NO cliffhanger, Romantic Comedy kind of reader. My friend and avid reader, likes these kind of books, and she recommended I read this. She said, " Try THIS one! I think you'll love it!"
Boy was she right!
I was in love with the plot and characters from the start. Skye Warren got me sucked in from the first page, and I read this book in one sitting not realizing I was so engrossed!
Avery James comes from a very privileged upbringing. Lived in a mansion, went to preparatory school, and a private college after that...best clothes and surrounded by the richest of people...you get the picture. Everything is taken from Avery in what seems like a minute. Her father loses everything ( no spoilers here as to HOW ) but Avery fights to survive and won't lose her beautiful home and fights to protect her now dying father.
This is when Avery decides putting her virginity on the market will pay all the bills that are piling up, and save her home.
Gabriel Miller is a man of wealth, power and control. He's the one who Avery is going to depend on so she can save everything near and dear to her heart...but, everything comes at a price! You want to hate Gabriel, you know you should! I personally see so much good in him. He has secrets that we won't learn until the next book.
During Avery's time in her newfound dark world, a woman named Candy giver her some words of wisdom, advice if you will.
***"All you have to give them is your body. Your mind, your soul—that’s your leverage.” That’s my ball of string, I realize. A lifeline, so I can find my way out of the maze at the end.***
Unfortunately , this book ends on a serious cliffhanger ( and like I said, I despise cliffhangers! ) and we won't know what happens to Avery or learn the secrets of Gabriel's life until the next book, The Knight, which doesn't come out until January 31, 2017. I'm anxiously awaiting!
The situation between Gabriel and Avery is consensual. That's probably why I'm O.K. with this book as opposed to some other darker romance books I've read.
I highly recommend this book! Ms. Warren's writing is descriptive and flows so easily.

Tru Blue by Melissa Foster

Oh, the FEELS of this book from the first chapter to the last!
Gemma Wright is a girl with a sad upbringing who has a chance meeting with Truman Gritt in a local Walmart. Truman had his hands full of babies and not a clue of how to take care of his newly acquired siblings. Gemma was a natural with kids, so she offered her knowledge to the flustered Truman. Truman was an all out Alpha male and Gemma was a strong young woman who knew what she wanted. These two are people with hard pasts to overcome. They had you rooting for them from the start!
Melissa Foster is an amazing writer who knows how to pull at your heartstrings. She writes steamy hot, but tasteful and romantic love scenes.
***He gathered Gemma in his arms, heat blazing between them as their bodies connected. “I don’t like other women touching me.” Gemma went up on her toes and pressed her lips to his in a delicious ice-cream kiss. “I think that might make you the perfect boyfriend.” ***
This wonderful, sweet book, I never want d it to end! Its a HEA standalone. I am looking forward to reading the next book featuring Bear Whiskey in Wild Whiskey Nights coming out in April 2017!
You can purchase Tru Blue on Amazon.com here It is $4.99 for the ebook.
I give this book a 5 out of 5 cupcake rating! (With ice cream on top!!) 😉

Size Matters by Donya Lynne

I'm usually not a big fan of cliffhangers, but I have to admit, the title had me interested!

When I saw the author's name,Donya Lynn writing as Dick Hertz...I HAD to read this book! I knew I was in for some humorous lines!
The only way I will read cliffhangers, is if ALL the books in the series are available at one time. These books are ONLY 80 some pages, so I really should have waited until they were all completed...but, I went into it anyway.
The poor unfortunate sole named Greyson struggles with being SO well endowed that he has trouble keeping women after they see the size of his...well, you get the idea. Yeah...because THAT'S a problem all guys have, right? Well, enter Katherine, who is divorced and feels like NO guy will ever live up to HER expectations after being, well, not MY words but hers...so stretched out from having two children...lol...yes, it's silly, but something makes you read on to see where this is going!
It is pretty funny how hot their chemistry is, and I won't spoil it with the twist that takes place between the two of them. It's supposed to me a summer fling only for Katherine, but you KNOW it's never going to end!
They meet for a dinner and Greyson is so sweet how he plays an interesting game of " let's get to know each other better"
***He scoots a little closer on the leather seat and taps the side of his phone so it spins around where I can see it. I lean to the side and read what’s on his screen. “‘ Fifty Questions to Ask to Get to Know Someone?’” I glance up at him after reading the title of the article he’s pulled up. “Are you serious?” “Absolutely.” “Can’t you come up with your own questions?” He grins and taps the screen of his phone again as he rotates it back toward him. “Sure I can, but these questions are a lot more fun to ask, and probably more fun to answer, too.”***
This review is for parts 1 & 2. Part 3 is being released on December 13, 2016 and Part 4 will be released on January 11, 2017. The Kindle editions are $2.99 on Amazon.com, or free on Kindle Unlimited.
I can't say if it's a HEA yet until I read the next two installments, but I'm feeling like it will be. Hot steamy chemistry between two consenting adults and definite cliffhangers.
I give the first two books a 4 cupcake rating because I dislike cliffhangers, and the size ...ahem...of the problem seems a little unrealistic. Outside of that, it's a quick, fun, read. To order or read free on Kindle Unlimited, click here
I give this a 3 cupcake review only because the absurdity of what these characters consider a
" problems" in finding mates, and also, I can appreciate the hot steaminess, but seriously...take the girl or guy to a BETTER place than a restroom!
