The Hot One by Lauren Blakely

      Meh...The Hot One just felt lukewarm to me.

      I'm a huge fan of Lauren Blakely...adored Mr. O and Big Rock. I couldn't wait to read this one when I heard it was coming out.

     The Hot One is a 2nd chance romance. Delaney and Tyler were lovers in college. Tyler wanted to focus on his legal career and just dumped Delaney with no warning. The two have been pining over each other all the years they were apart. That's the basics without wanting to give anymore away.

      I found this book to be slow and dragged in the middle. There were points I wanted to give it up, but because of my love of Ms. Blakely's past books, I wanted to give it a fair chance. I felt the characters were weaker than her past books, and even the cute banter which I love in her books fell flat for me.

     Would this less than great book stop me from reading any more of her books? No. I'm still a fan. Just not of this book.

Breaking The Seventh by Allie Gail

    This was my first book by Allie Gail. I was sucked in from the blurb and hoped the whole book was as funny and sexy as it claimed to be. This book did NOT disappoint!
  The chemistry between Myles and Leah was off the charts hysterical! Leah is a quirky girl who thinks she is jinxed every year because bad things happen to her on her birthday. Yes...she is a little nuts, but you instantly fall in love with her and her kooky personality. Myles...well, he is a self confident male who moves in next door to Leah, and swears she's certifiably crazy.
  Everything that happens to Leah is just too funny and there really isn't a dull moment in this book! I was in love with the internal dialogue and quick witted responses between the two. The sex is off the charts hot too!
  I have to say, Ms. Gail...I had NO idea what a Salad Fingers stuffed doll was, and I was so curious I had to close the book and start searching on Google! OMG! So funny!! I have to admit...I've never seen the show, but now I really want one because it's so ugly it's adorable! Thanks for the laugh!
  This is a HEA, no cliffhanger. I WILL be reading more of Allie Gail's books.

Crown Of Lies by Pepper Winters ( Truth And Lies Duet Book 1)

    I wasn't sure what to expect going into this book. I'm always a little cautious with cliffhangers.  I DID  know this book ended on a cliffhanger when I started it though.
  Noelle ( Elle) is a strong powerful CEO of a huge department store. Her father has been grooming her to take over his position of his company since she was a child. She's been sheltered and has no social skills of a person her age, but boy does she have business sense and skills! Let's just say her skills are in the boardroom, and zero experience in the bedroom.
    One day Elle decides she wants a normal day! She just wants to go out and experience New York City by herself. The streets of New York are just too dangerous for a girl with no street smarts. She runs into trouble and a man saves her life. This story is about the instant chemistry between the two and the things that happen between them.
    This book is full of page turning suspense. I'm not usually into suspense books, but this one had me intrigued. The hot scenes were from the charts hot and by the end of the 2nd book ( the continuation entitled Throne Of Truth). Did I know what was going to happen? A little. However, there were some totally unpredictable twists and turns involved that made this story go on.
  I am in love with  Pepper Winter's  writing style. She's deep, intellectual and I found myself going back over some paragraphs because they were so beautifully written.
  It is a HEA and as I said, yes...it's a cliffhanger but the 2nd book continuation is already out! No waiting for months required!

   Oh, holy hotness!!! This book!!
I KNEW I wanted this book when I saw it advertised. I mean, seriously...LOOK AT THE LIST OF AUTHORS!! I was anxiously awaiting release day, and then to make matters BETTER, I won an ARC copy from a giveaway BB Easton was having!! YAY!! Free PORN!
   This book is filled with SO much filth and smut, I was SO proud of these ladies! LOL!
It's 8 individual stories (each story is written by one of the above mentioned talented authors!) about 8 different well...whores who work at the Magnolia Brothel. Each story will keep your attention and make it a fabulous page turner!
   I won't go into each individual story because I don't want to give spoilers. Just know, it IS dirty...it IS filthy...it IS kinky! You HAVE been warned! I can say I felt like I got to know each and every one of these dirty girls personally! The authors were so amazing in their descriptive details. I was never bored, and there was never a slow part of the book
      Each story has a HEA and no cliffhangers. I read somewhere that someone read them out of order. I personally wouldn't recommend doing this. I think you need to read each and every story in order because each girl is mentioned in each story. I loved them all so much. Honestly...however life got them to the Magnolia, I feel each of them want and need one thing like the rest of the women in the world. They all need love and attention even if they try to be tough and say they don't.
   You can purchase this as an ebook only. It's FREE on Kindle Unlimited, or $.99 on Kindle. This is NOT a short book like some $.99 books are. You REALLY get a LOT OF BANG for your buck! ( haha...see what I did there? 😜)
   If you are a smutty book lover, GO GET THIS BOOK!
   I usually give ratings of cupcakes. These ladies deserve more than cupcakes! They deserve the whole damn CAKE!!

Love In Lingerie by Alessandra Torre

    This was a smokin' hot book by Alessandra Torre.
    It's a office romance where the main character's are Trey, the CEO of a lingerie company and Kate who begins working for his company. There is instant attraction, but neither allow themselves to act on it.
    Trey is without a doubt a kinky, arrogant, gorgeous man, and of course, Kate is stunning. Trey can't help himself when he throws the sexual innuendos around right and left.the banter between the two of them is adorable.
    There was a slight part in the middle that I felt was slow, but not enough to make me want to stop reading.
  I am a sucker for a fantastic epilogue, and this one delivered!! I was head over heels in love with the way this ended.
    I loved the writing, humor, and hot scenes in this book.
    If this book were lingerie...it'd be a cozy pair of flannel pajamas...making me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! 😊
    It's a HEA, standalone. It also includes some deleted scenes Ms. Torre decided to leave out. In the ebook version, you can simply click on a link to her webpage to read it. I personally didn't want the book to end, so I was eager to read ANY extras available!

The Room Mate by Kendall Ryan

     I love Kendall Ryan. When I saw that she was coming out with a new book I was all in!
The sexy book cover didn't hurt either!
     After reading this Contemporary Romance, I read so many negative reviews on Amazon. I don't really take other people's opinions to heart ( kind of like I don't listen to movie reviews...I like to form my OWN opinions!) I wondered if I read the same book everyone else was reading! Yes, I've read this very same plot before, but when you read as many books as I do, the plots are going to be somewhat repetitive.
     This story is about Cannon and Paige. Paige is the best friend Cannon's older sister. They were all friends when they were younger. Paige thought Cannon was a geek with braces, and Cannon thought Paige was beautiful even as a kid. Now they are all grown up and both sexy as hell! Cannon needs a place to live for a couple of months after a bad breakup. Paige knows this spells trouble, but she's doing her BFF a BIG favor.
     I felt this book was sweet, romantic, and not too much drama. It was a light read with lots of heat. I am a sucker for a good epilogue, but  this book didn't have an epilogue at all.
It's a HEA, Standalone.
I recommend The Room Mate to anyone who wants a HEA, romantic, Contemporary Romance.

Delivery Girl by Lily Kate

      This is a sweet, romantic book by Lily Kate.
      The main characters in this book are Andi and Ryan. Andi works with her dad who owns a pizza shop. She bakes and delivers pizzas.
Andi delivers a pizza to Ryan who is a professional ice hockey player. Ryan is staying with his brother and his fiancé. When Andi brings the pizza to Ryan, he answers the door in nothing but a towel. They are immediately attracted to each other and poor Andi has one mishap after another. She's clumsy and adorable and Ryan notices how special she is from the start.
     Andi is about to graduate college and she also is trying to launch a career as a standup comic.
     Ryan is trying to decide if he wants to go back home to Minnesota or play in LA where Andi lives. There is a plot line where Ryan is trying to decide if he is signing on with a new agent who is known as the Ice Queen. ( sorry, no spoilers here!)
      I have read my fair share of sports romances, and went into this one a little skeptical. I was pleasantly surprised! It has a great epilogue too!
It's a cute, sweet, light read. I am looking forward to reading future books by Lily Kate.
